Welcome to the SA Festival | Isle of Unity!

Join us on an adventure through South Africa’s vibrant culture right here on the Isle of Man! Returning to Manx Fun Farm on Saturday, 6 September 2025, the SA Festival Isle of Unity promises to be another unforgettable family-friendly day in the spirit of community and togetherness, known as ‘ubuntu’.

Brought to you by Isle Settle in collaboration with the IOM Chapter of SA Chamber of Commerce UK, the SA Festival welcomes everyone to taste, feel, and embrace the wonders of South African culture, food, and music. The SA Festival is a testament to the blending of communities, an inclusive event for everyone – a celebration of ‘ubuntu’, a sense of togetherness and universal bonding. Experience Africa right on your doorstep!

The Festival’s programme is filled with attractions for all ages: from the Local is Lekker Market with its pop-up stalls featuring hand crafted and locally made arts, crafts, jewellery, cakes and bakes, farm-fresh produce, to the Family Zone featuring children’s entertainment powered by Atla Fiduciary, sporting and cultural activities, and music all day long! If you’ve never experienced the joy of a boerewors roll or a koeksuster, now is the time! Come and experience the tastes of South Africa with a wide range of food stalls and bar service by Manx Fun Farm.

Gather the kids for the touch rugby tournament, browse our ‘Local is Lekker‘ pop-up market featuring over 30 stallholders showcasing a variety of South African and Manx products (#buylocal), and get your game on with a variety of adult activities including football darts and more!

Think you’re a potjie master? Enter the 2025 Potjie Master Challenge, supported by Robinson’s, and see if your team can wrestle the title from our 2023 winners, Seaboard, who wowed the judges with their lamb-and-gem potjie.

Form a four-person team, bring your best recipe and festival spirit, and cook your way to glory. Each member of the winning team takes home a £50 Robinson’s hamper—plus serious bragging rights. Not cooking? Come cheer on the contenders and soak up the flavours, music and fun on the day.
